Ann.jpgAnn graduated from Duluth Business University in June 2012. She specializes in relaxation massage and will surprise you with the strength of her deep tissue! In her free time, Ann loves being outdoors and playing with her dogs. 

 
 
 

Originally from Cleveland, Bailey now loves life in Ely! Trained through the Pebble Spa Institute, she specializes in relaxing facial treatments, soothing classic massage, and deep tissue massage.

Carissa graduated from Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Anamosa, Iowa in August 2012. She has her national license for massage therapy. Carissa specializes in Relaxation and Neuromuscular Deep Tissue massage. 
Growing up in the small town Fayette, Iowa Carissa enjoys being outdoors, camping, hiking, tubing, bowling and bonfires, all while spending time with family and friends.

germaine.jpgGermaine Gemberling is a Singer/Songwriter born and raised in St. Paul, MN. She found herself drawn to the Northwoods in 1998. She lived in Ely 13yrs. and began working for the Pebble Spa in 2006, soon after they opened. She specializes in Deep tissue and Classic Massages with knowledge of Trigger point therapy and Reiki. Her intuitive nature assists in a unique personalized massage. After working for our Ely spa for several years, Germaine now primarily works for our Virginia location.

 

Haley.jpgHaley graduated from Lake Superior College in 2007 with a certification in Massage Therapy. She believes massage is an integral part of a person's physical, spiritual and emotional well-being. Her hobbies include making jewelry, baking and curling up with a good book.

Jackie moved to Ely from Glenwood, Minnesota after high school. She graduated from VCC in 2012 and completed her massage training program from Lake Superior College in 2013. Jackie promptly moved back to Ely and joined the Pebble Spa team. She specializes in relaxation, deep tissue, and facial massages, and also concentrates on lower back problems. When she’s not at the spa, Jackie can be found helping seasonally with the Ely Marathon and Great American Canoe Festival.

Jodie.jpgA former cosmetologist, Jodie has a passion for the educational and nurturing concept that encourages the renewal of mind, body and spirit.

After years of working as the front desk concierge, and as a massage therapist,  Jodie is now behind the scenes as the Director of Operations of the Pebble Spa.

Julie is a former business owner with a background in nursing. She enjoys spending time with her infant daughter, eating birthday cake and walking her two dogs. She is happy to be a new addition to the pebble Julia.jpgfamily and we are happy to have her here!

Julie specializes in Classic Massage and also works as our front desk concierge at our Ely location.

 

KatePaul.JPGKate is a Certified Energy Healing Practitioner, organic farmer, and writer/poet. She holds a Master’s Degree in Biology, has practiced yoga for 30 years, and has self-studied and practiced massage therapy informally for 20 years. She has had extensive training, leading to certification in 2008, in the ancient healing tradition of Ka Ta See, stemming out the eastern Andes in South America. This shamanic tradition brings non-invasive, energetic therapy to treat physical, mental, and emotional issues. So whether you schedule a session for Energy Healing or Massage with Kate, you can count on a highly personalized, intuitive experience. 

 

IMG_3345.JPGLaura was raised in Ely, and grew up on a resort right outside of town. She spent a lot of time outdoors while growing up and still enjoys it. Her hobbies include hiking the trails surrounding the area, canoeing different lakes, camping, kayaking, and being outdoors. Laura moved away from Ely after high school to attend college and explore more of Minnesota, she moved back to Ely in the spring of this year.

Hailing from the distant land of Colorado, Laura has moved to Ely to find new horizons. She brings with her an EMT certification, Reiki (level 1) training, and her ever-trusty paintbrush. Laura is a firm believer in helping people, and she regards massage as a great pathway towards this general goal. At the spa, Laura focuses on each client's specific needs with the helpful aids of communication and intuition. Her specializations are in relaxation and deep tissue massage.

Born and raised in Ely, Leslie's journey has brought her full circle back home and we are lucky to have her part of our Pebble Team!  After living in the Twin Cities, raising a family and working in a variety of life Leslie.JPGimpacting positions, her love for the lakes, the outdoors and the seasons have all drawn her back.

 

 

Lindsay grew up as a competitive dancer and later graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS, with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis in Health Promotion. Her Junior year there, she got the opportunity to intern at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa. Once graduated, she moved to Minneapolis, by herself, in curiosity of the big city. In pursue of her dreams, while there, she attended the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis and graduated from the Day Spa/Massage program. Originating from rural Kansas, she enjoys a simpler lifestyle and beautiful atmosphere that Ely has to offer. lindsay.jpg

lisa.pngLisa graduated in 2000 from the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, MN. She is an Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Healthcare provider, Emergency Room Technician, Emergency Medical Technician and American Heart Association instructor for Basic Life Support and CPR. In addition, she is a Doula birth coach, member of National Ski Patrol and an Alpine ski instructor. Lisa held many positions at CAOM including, clinic director, herbal pharmacy technician, supervising clinician for the University’s teaching clinics for nearly 12 years, and associate clinic faculty and lecturer at the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Lisa traveled and studied in China during that time as well. Her most recent positions included EMT/HCA at Hennepin County Medical Center ER, and clinic supervisor for acupuncture students at the University of Minnesota Medical Center on the Medical Surgical, Orthopedic, OB-GYN, and ante-partum units for pre and post surgical care. Her emphasis is auricular Acupuncture for pain management and chemical dependency with nutritional advice for lifestyle support After moving to the area Lisa is excited about the opportunity to begin practice again and supporting her community.

 

Lucy is a recent transplant from Minneapolis, where she studied massage therapy at the Aveda Institute.

A specialist in the deep tissue and Swedish massage techniques, Lucy has been in the field since 2010. In her free time, she is an avid runner and reader.Lucy1.jpg

Originally a MN native, Rich is back in Ely after living in New York, Wisconsin, and Washington. Recently owning a business with his wife, they decided it was time to slow things down after the birth of their beautiful little girl!  In his early 20's, he was a sponsored Freestyle (quad) motocross rider for about 4 years. Although he still rides as much as he can, for fun!  Rich started here as our front desk concierge but has since then completed his massage therapy training and is now taking appointments!

Besides owning her own business, Shauna also keeps busy working with us on the weekends. Her calming personality and attention to detail can put anyone in a state of zen. Shauna also takes part of in a lot of community events and helps organize the Ely Winter Festival. Shauna.jpg

Welcome our new trained and certified Lash Extension professional, Sheila!

Born and raised in Ely, MN,  Sheila loves being with family and enjoying our beautiful outdoors. She has two beautiful children and one grandson Waylon.  Sheila earned her lash extension certificate through Lavish Lashes in April of 2017 and is looking forward to bringing this new service to the area. Part of our Ely retail team, Taylor grew up in the township of Embarrass. She is currently working toward her bachelor's degree in social work plans to go straight into her master's. For three years Taylor lived in New York, but happily moved back to Minnesota! In her spare time, she loves going for hikes and other random adventures with her husband and their two doxies.TSwift.jpg

Tessa.jpgTessa is our lead Massage Therapist at the Ely Spa and is also our Pebble Trainer for both spa locations. She specializes in Relaxation, Deep Tissue  and Facial Massage.

Born and raised in Ely, Tessa ran off to the College of Saint Benedict for a BA in Environmental Studies and a chance to explore other areas of the globe. But Ely kept drawing her back . Tessa loves being back in the community and loves get out to play in the woods whenever the chance presents itself. She also enjoy cycling, running, cross country skiing, and camping, growing food, and dabbling in jewelry making.

wendy.jpgAfter attending Aveda, Port Townsend School of Massage, Clayton College, Bastyr University, WWU, and the Touch for Health Institute, Wendy is excited to share her expertise. She has had private practices in both WA and Ely, as well as provided medical consulting and private contract work for over two dozen spas. In 2006 Wendy took on the position of sports massage coordinator for Minnesota and received the MN Massage Therapist of the Year award.
