Wendy's PictureAfter attending Aveda, Port Townsend School of Massage, Clayton College, Bastyr University, WWU, and the Touch for Health Institute, Wendy is excited to share her expertise. She has had private practices in both WA and Ely, as well as provided medical consulting and private contract work for over two dozen spas. In 2006 Wendy took on the position of sports massage coordinator for Minnesota and received the MN Massage Therapist of the Year award.

Ryan's PictureAfter residing in Michigan, Texas and Washington, Ryan made the big jump to Ely with his wife. With a degree in genetics and biology, Ryan has worked on several research projects including the Human Genome Project at Baylor College. He currently teaches science at the high school and college levels. After attending massage training in both WA and MN, Ryan joins our team full time during the summer months. Ryan specializes in sports massage and myofacial release. If you need a deep tissue massage, Ryan is the man who can do the job!

Germaine's pictureThe famous member of our spa….born and raised in St. Paul, Germaine is a singer/songwriter who played in a popular band for several years. Germaine was the smiling face behind the counter at Northern Grounds Café for 9 years before joining our team. She has always been enthralled by natural health and wellness. Specializing in our deep tissue and classic massages, Germaine is also our baby massage virtuoso.
Gina's pictureBorn and raised in the area, Gina has a great love of the outdoors. A nurse by training, Gina believes that a person’s well-being depends upon the combination of the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of life. Proficient in hand, foot, skin care, and all things holistic, Gina is also one of our facial treatment and reflexology specialists.
Tanya's pictureTanya – yoga teacher, natural foods chef, certified macrobiotic wellness guide, and student of oriental medicine and macrobiotic philosophy. A TRUE Elyite (well, almost) Tanya has lived in all corners of the US studying natural health and enjoying life. Her pristine massage and body treatments will have you feeling refreshed and renewed in no time.

Katha grew up in the great north woods of Minnesota, starting off with an interest in nursing. Then she married instead and traveled throughout the United States. After having 2 children, they moved to Babbitt and opened a clothing store. She spent the last 15 years working as an administrative assistant in a local Ely bank. She and her husband built their dream home on Eagles Nest Lake. Her interest in massage has been constant through her life and she is pleased to be a part of the Pebble team.

Wendy Lou's PictureWendy Lou graduated from Lake Superior College in May 2008 with a degree in massage. She grew up in Embarrass, went to school in Aurora and is excited to share her enthusiasm for massage. Specializing in the classic massage, Wendy Lou is also an expert in sports massage, stretching and kinesiology.
Julie loves spending time in nature whether it be camping, hiking, skiing, canoeing, or biking which is why she was lured to move back to Ely. She went to college for Natural Resources and Environmental Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and received my B.S degree in December of 2007. When she is not enjoying the outdoors she likes to knit and read. She came to the Pebble Spa with an interest to work in an environment that was focused on well being and health. She is looking forward to learning a lot at the Pebble Spa!
Kathy's PictureKathy, a Twin Cities transplant and Eveleth native loves facial treatments and massage because of the focus on healing and wellness. After attending the University of St. Thomas, Lowthian College, Golden Valley Lutheran College and Mesabi Community College, she brings over 20 years of customer service excellence in health insurance, sales, marketing and the Korean government. Recently, she coordinated the first Upward Bound mentor program and is currently a Board of Director for the Minneapolis Aquatennial. An avid fundraiser and volunteer, Kathy has served the YMCA, Laurentian Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Community Band, National Kidney Foundation, March of Dimes, Make a Wish Organization, Jacob Wetterling Foundation, Ronald McDonald House. In 2007, she was selected as a national spokesperson for the American Cancer Society's Access to Care television ad campaign. Born in Virginia, she resides here with her family and puppy.
Always wanting to explore Ely – Jeannie has finally made it. Completing her massage degree in Costa Rica, Jeannie is ready to share her caring touch. A proficient in the classic, deep tissue, and medical massage areas, Jeannie is ready to tackle and aches and pains you may encounter!
Josh's pictureElyite from birth and lover of the outdoors, Josh graduated from High-Tech Institute in 2007 with a massage degree. He has returned to Ely to raise a family and bring joy to others. He is very good a body work and will have you in a deep form of relaxation after a massage.
Cara comes to the Pebble Spa from the beaches of Cost Rica where she completed her massage degree. Cara loves spending summers in Ely with her husband at the Outward Bound base. Cara has a huge array of specialty areas. Her accents of Thai and Cranio work will make your muscles ooze with goodness!
Christy's PictureOriginally from Duluth, Christy graduated from UMD with a degree in psychology and marketing. She received a massage therapy certification from Lake Superior College in 2001 and since then has developed her practice learning from mentors in various spas and health clinics. Clients love the massage for the combo of deep therapeutic work with deep relaxation, saying they felt like they received much more than expected! She is passionate about working with expectant mothers and currently teaches pre and postnatal yoga in Duluth. Christy is thrilled to be working at the Pebble Spa!
Originaly born in Georgia, Chelsea moved to the great North with her family. Currently a senior at the Ely High School, Chelsea is hoping to study medicine. When she is not out camping, fishing, running, and fourwheeling, she can be found at the Pebble - spoiling our clients and making sure everything is running as smooth as butter.
